Israel Update ISRAEL UPDATE – February 20, 2009Hizballah Claims Right to Anti-Aircraft System Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah boasted during a rally on Monday that his terrorist army has the right to acquire air-defense weapons and to use them against Israeli warplanes, Reuters reported. "Every few days there is [an Israeli media] report that the resistance has obtained advanced air-defense weapons," Nasrallah said. "What I want to confirm today is that we have every right to obtain any weapon, including air-defense weapons, and we have every right to use this weapon." Despite U.N. Security Council calls for its disarmament, Hizballah has reportedly tripled the size of its rocket arsenal since its 2006 war against Israel and now possesses some 42,000 rockets capable of striking most Israeli population centers.
