September 28, 2020, 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Congregation Shaarey Zedek
27375 Bell Road
Southfield, MI 48034
UPDATE: Due to the rainy forecast for N’ilah Under the Stars, we are moving from the CSZ parking lot to the William Saulson Pavilion, under the tent. Please bring your mask and enter through the main synagogue doors.
An informal in-person family experience, appropriate for all ages, led by Rabbi Yoni Dahlen, Caitlin Klaper, and Ari Reis.
Drive into the CSZ parking lot and tune your radios to the Shaarey Zedek station to end your Yom Kippur with a spirited musical N’ilah service, final shofar blast, and Havdalah led by Rabbi Yoni, Caitlin Klaper, and Ari Reis.
WHAT: A drive-in style conclusion to Yom Kippur. Sing some of your favorite High Holiday tunes, put your arms around your family for a camp style Havdalah, and head into Sukkot with the blast of the shofar.
WHO: Anyone! This is a family-friendly service but the music and intention will be appropriate for all ages!
COST: FREE, just make sure you register, so we can save you a spot!
WHAT TO BRING: To make the night extra special, be sure to bring…
1) Your Mahzor!
2) A Havdalah set (no need to bring spices, so just a candle/glow-stick and grape juice/wine)
3) FOOD! Because of COVID-19 restrictions we cannot provide food, so please bring your own to break your fast!
4) White clothes – Yom Kippur is a very symbolic holiday, and wearing white is an ancient and powerful tradition!
Advanced registration is required, and health measures are in place on the CSZ campus, including physical distancing and mask use for all attendees age 2 and older.
Bookings are closed for this event.
